Mycah Hogan

Biography

Mycah Hogan is an actor, maker, and teacher whose work is at the intersection of live performance and education. He has acted professionally at places like Roundabout, The New Group, Rattlestick, JACK, The Tank, Williamstown, Trinity Repertory Company, The Gamm, and The Wilbury Group. He has a BFA in Drama from NYU Tisch, where he studied at the Atlantic Theater Company and the Experimental Theater Wing. Additional training includes The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, The Williamstown Theater Festival, The American Conservatory Theater, Pig Iron Theater Company, and The Funny School of Good Acting.

Mycah was part of the founding team at Achievement First Providence Mayoral Elementary, a public charter school in Olneyville. As a Leadership Fellow, Curriculum Fellow, Enrichment Team Leader and Stage 5 Master Teacher, Mycah played an integral role in the development of the school's enrichment program, and has pioneered investigations into the concept of teacher-as-clown. Mycah is currently the Dean of Expeditions and Enrichment at the Achievement First Middle School, where he develops enrichment teachers and facilitates experiential learning programs. In the summer of 2018 Mycah started Camp Shakesweird, a joy-based summer camp for young actors.

As a teacher of clown and physical theater, Mycah has facilitated workshops for actors (and non-actors) at Wheaton College, Western New England College, Boston Conservatory, The Wilbury Group, and Brown/Trinity Rep.
