Richard Waterhouse
Biography
Richard Waterhouse is an acting teacher and private coach, producer, and director. He has studied with Roy London, Ivana Chubbuck, and James Price, and taught at the Cameron Thor Studio before opening his own studio in 2002. Now based in New York and Vermont, Richard teaches at Brown University, and is a frequent guest lecturer at Purdue University, Ft. Wayne. Directing credits include the independent feature film Young, Single and Angry, the award-winning short Respect for Acting, Kimberly Akimbo, "8" the play, Love Alone, and The Little Dog Laughed. Richard produced the short film Pearl, starring Dan Butler and Tony-award-winner Frances Sternhagen. In 2014 Richard co-founded Fuller Road, a non-profit artists residency program in Newbury, VT, where he is Producing Director. He has created "48 Hr. Film" competitions at the Green Mountain Film Festival in Montpelier, VT and in Bradford, VT and has appeared in plays and musicals in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles as well as in the independent feature film Karl Rove, I Love You. He can also be heard narrating audiobooks for Blackstone Audio and Too Little Time, Inc.
