Biography

Stephen Thorne is a professional actor, director and audiobook narrator.  He has been a member of the Resident Acting Company at Trinity Rep since 2000.  Roles have included Judge Turpin, Sweeney Todd, Morgan/Walter, The Inheritance, Jimbo, Fairview, Iago, Othello, Arthur, Camelot, Hamlet, Hamlet, and Homer, The Cider House Rules.  Stephen has also performed at The Alley Theatre, The Long Wharf Theater, Actor’s Theatre of Louisville and Riverside Theater in Iowa City.   He has been a member of the Bread Loaf School of English Acting Ensemble since 1999, most recently appearing as Prospero in The Tempest.  Stephen has been on the faculty at Clark University in Worcester, MA since 2008.  Film/TV credits include The HoldoversInvitation to a Bonfire and Don’t Look Up.  Stephen has recorded over 200 audiobook titles.  He holds an MFA from the University of Iowa.  He is a member of AEA and SAG/AFTRA.
