  • In light of current health conditions and to limit the risks associated with travel for our applicants and faculty, Brown/Trinity has made the decision to shift all auditions to the virtual platform for our 2022 application cycle.
  • Audition dates and times will remain the same, with the exception of Sunday, February 20 in Providence (anyone scheduled for this date has been contacted). Two additional dates have been added:  February 14 and February 17.
  • An detailed email regarding this shift will be sent to all applicants on January 5.

We share appreciation and gratitude to all for your flexibility as we collectively continue to navigate forward safely.

  • Applicants should present two contrasting monologues - one contemporary piece and one classical and/or heightened language piece. Monologues should not exceed a combined total of two and a half minutes.
  • Applicants should prepare with a minimum of two additional monologues, not to exceed one minute each.
  • All applicants are required to attend the one-hour information session. In Chicago, San Francisco, and Providence this will be virtually at 1:00 pm on the day of their audition. In New York, we've made changes - there are only two virtual information sessions - one on Wednesday, January 26 at 3:00pm and one on Thursday, January 27 at 1:00pm.
  • Some actors may be asked to attend a group callback session on the day of their audition if the faculty feel the need to see how they work in a group. You will be informed during your audition if this is requested of you.  In Chicago, San Francisco, and Providence, the group work will begin at 5pm. In New York, it will also be at 5pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. On Wednesday, it will begin at 4pm and on Thursday, it will begin at 4:30pm.
  • In addition, with the shift to the virtual platform, we have added an additional, second round of callbacks on Sunday February 20.

Acting applicants who are offered admission to the program are required to visit Brown/Trinity Rep for a visit at our Welcome Weekend Friday, March 4 - Sunday, March 6.
